Just in Time (JIT) Poster This poster should be placed in key areas of your company to clearly demonstrate what organizations are trying to do with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing. Takt, Flow, and Pull are what Just In Time (JIT) is all about. The poster has been derived from Taiichi Ohno and his work at Toyota Motor Corporation, translations based on the work of Norman Bodek, and Productivity Press’ work in the 1980s. Just In Time (JIT) is an inventory strategy implemented to improve the return on investment of a business by reducing in-process inventory and its associated costs. The process is driven by a series of signals, or Kanban that tell production processes to make the next part. Kanban are usually simple visual signals, such as the presence or absence of a part on a shelf. JIT causes dramatic improvements in a manufacturing organization's return on investment, quality, and efficiency.
